“Sophie” is a very personal song that was written one night while sitting down on the seashore, with tears rolling down my cheeks and many confusing feelings inside my heart. That night was my final straw for everything I was feeling, so no matter how late it was, I needed to go near the ocean… I sat there with my small notebook, my ukulele, and started writing this song… it was so easy, why do I always give everything I have and no one reciprocates me? It didn’t take me longer than 40 minutes to finish it and I felt so much better, so relieved… During the next few days I kept thinking of possible names for the song, but nothing seemed to feel right, it was a song I wrote about my heart, so finally, I chose “Sophie,” the nickname people I love call me… It just felt right.
